TRACK TWO: An Institute for Citizen Diplomacy, a non-profit corporation associated with Esalen Institute, addresses problems and opportunites shared by the peoples of Russia, the United States, and areas of the world in conflict. TRACK TWO, formerly The Russian-American Center, has worked with the Soviet Union and Russia for more than 36 years through interactions between governmental and non-governmental organizations, as well as individuals of these countries.

The term “Track Two Diplomacy” was coined in 1980 at Esalen Institute. Track Two Diplomacy complements government diplomacy through non-governmental activities of individuals and organizations, bringing fresh insights and lasting inter-cultural friendships on a wide range of international problems.
