THE THIRD
BOMB
AND HOW WE PREVENT IT
ABOUT
No one believes there should ever be a nuclear war.
Deactivating all nuclear-powered arms is the surest route to no use.

We are delighted to invite you to join Track Two: An Institute for Citizen Diplomacy and Esalen Institute for the Track Two Nuclear Arms Threat Conference, March 16, 17, and 18, 2021, at 9:30 AM PDT. The Conference will be held on Zoom and each day's session will last 90 minutes. A brief description of the Conference follows.
The urgency of nuclear threats are palpable and perhaps more urgent than in the past. These threats have been overshadowed by the pandemic and by the critical threat posed by Climate Change. And yet vulnerabilities of cyber systems, erratic leaders and growing investment in the business of nuclear arms offer new dimension to the threats. Can nongovernmental and citizen diplomacy be deployed to help advance threat reduction and how might we support the best and/or new approaches in 2021?

DAY TWO

We have invited a group of experts representing the North Pacific Rim, the Middle East and Europe to share recent developments in these regions and identify the areas of greatest risk. Along with other experts, they will be joined by Dave Morin, Marian Goodell and Cassandra Vieten to explore avenues for non-governmental diplomacy to address the most pressing areas of threat. Bringing non-nuclear expertise is vital to thinking creatively about solutions.
